Miss Sandra is an actress and choreographer with over ten years experience in working with young people. During this time she has worked as a dance and drama teacher, as well as leading international workshops and organising events and theatre shows for both children and adults.
Following her passion for teaching and love for children and the performing arts, Sandra wanted to create an environment where everyone could join and learn new skills, in a fun and exciting way. She founded Alegria Club in 2011 and she continues to inspire young artists ever since, empowering children to be the best they can be.
Alegria means Joy: the joy of dancing, the joy of playing, the joy of exploring your imagination and create magical moments everyday!
Sandra holds Qualified Teacher Status, a Master's Degree in Dance – Choreographic Art, a Bachelor's Degree in Acting – Performing Arts, IDTA teaching qualification in Ballet and British Gymnastics teaching qualification. She has been working for prestigious dance organisations in London, including the Royal Academy of Dance. Sandra has experience in teaching Contemporary, Jazz, Ballroom & Latin and Creative Dance, helping both mainstream and SEND students explore their creativity, exercise and get more confident through arts.
Children love to play and experience new things, make friends and have fun, so this is exactly what we offer at Alegria Club! A performing arts club introducing students into the magical world of theatre and dance. It provides them with the opportunity to explore a range of fun activities, whilst developing new skills, increasing their artistic knowledge and appreciation for art.
We deliver group classes, online and in person, one-to-one home tuition and personalised sessions for mainstream pupils as well as for SEND (Special Educational Need and Disability) children.
